Meandering Lace

Design by Olga Buraya-Kefelian

I am a lace knitter through and through. I enjoy cables and colorwork from time to time, but most often I find myself casting on for something lacey, so you can imagine my delight at the two designs featuring beautiful lace stitches in Blue Sky Alpacas Fall 2012 Collection. Olga’s Afternoon Cardi is absolutely my kind of lace; geometric and not complicated, feminine-but-comfortable in Worsted Cotton. With 36 solid colors and 9 Multi Cotton colors, you may find yourself inclined to knit more than one!

Layering is always on-trend and an absolute necessity in cold weather areas (like Minnesota). The Carpathian Pullover is perfect for layering with your flowy summer tops. The lace makes this sweater easy-to-wear professionally, however, its boho brushed quality makes it perfect for a more casual look. Whether the outfit is structured and dressy or drapey and hippie, the Carpathian Pullover just works.
