What’s in a Name?

Girl in the World Sweater by Vladimira Cmorej.

Behind the scenes: The whole Blue Sky Alpacas staff was gathered around our meeting table, admiring new pieces and discussing colors and names. One piece defied naming…the pullover by Vladimira Cmorej in the new Metalico. We named every other piece and came back to this pullover…still nothing.

Simple elegance and subtle details needed to be captured. (Personally, the button adornments and optional thumb hole make me completely smitten with this design.) Some names were too over the top. Some names weren’t quite enough.

With the top-down construction and generous size range this sweater needed just the right name. And, then…It was said… “A sweater…a sweater for every girl in the world.”
