The other day, whilst cruising around Pinterest (you can find Blue Sky’s Pinterest boards here) I found this amazing image.
Photo © The Nordic Watercolor Museum.
The artist behind this stunning potholder collection is Anu Tuominen. She collects neglected, everyday objects, things most people would consider useless.
After shifting the focus of the original item, she creates something new and unexpected.
It makes me think of starting my own potholder collection. Or taking a look at the utilitarian things in my life and seeing the beauty: teacups, plates, or canisters?
What do you see beauty in?
Just keep knitting, knitting, knitting (and seeing the beauty)…
