Hello Blue Sky Alpaca Friends,
“Fashions fade, style is eternal.” – Yves Saint Laurent.
This quote, by one of the most influential designers of our time is one to remember. Applicable when shopping for clothes to curtains or picking patterns and colors to knit. The London Tunic by Elinor Brown exudes style. Timeless and modern, this is a classic staple piece that every wardrobe should have. A quick knit in two simple pieces. I love TECHNO!
Have you noticed neutrals are everywhere? These neutrals are paired with bright, neon punches of color. The TECHNO palette is just the right luxury to complete this style. This vest is perfect for playing with color and enlivening your wardrobe. Wouldn’t pairing Fame (1970) and Aquarius (1977) be perfection? And speaking of classic, Cha-Cha Red (1976) and Club Gray (1975) would be striking. Metro Silver (1971) and Posh Pink (1981) are very suited to one another. It would sure be hard to make a decision…
Blue Sky Alpacas TECHNO, available in six classic neutrals and seven pop brights.
Blue Sky would love to give that decision to three lucky Bluesletter readers. Leave a comment on this post (one per person please) telling Blue Sky which color combo you would pick and how you would wear your new sweater vest. We’ll pick three winners on Friday. You will receive enough yarn to make the London Tunic in your choice of colors as well as the pattern. We cannot wait to hear the palettes you come up with!
Just keep knitting, knitting, knitting…
Katie

I would stick with a classic look with Smoke and Metro Silver.

club gray and atomic green!
I would use Rogue and Aquarius! Love the neutral with a pop of color! I would wear the tunic with a cute jean skirt and boots. Casual and chic!
My choice would be smoke and atomic green. My daughter Allie Rae would love this sweater and she would wear it perfectly with skinny jeans and her bright green sperry’s. Love this sweater Still classic…but with a hip retro twist!

My comment was on Facebook. Sorry, didn’t see that you wanted this on the blog….
I would do Rogue and Metro Silver!!! Gorgeous top, I would wear over long or short tees, with jeans as I typically wear. It would be perfect for the climate I live in!
Smoke with a pop of posh pink! It would be super pretty worn with jeans and a white T underneath. Simple and classic!
Atomic Green for the body and Fame for the pattern. Bright greens are my fave color so would make this one for ME!
I would pick club gray and marquee yellow!
I love it! I’d pick posh pink and atomic green. And I think it would look great with jeans and some cute boots!
I would go with rogue and aquarius! a lot of neutral with a pop of bright. I definitely picture wearing it with jeans and boots.
I actually love the colours you have the model in…Fame & Smoke
I’d try a club grey body and tonic orange details. or the tonic orange with an aquarius body! i’d wear this tunic with a flowy jersey skirt and boots.
I would do the off-white with robin’s egg blue!
I would wear it with the tonic purple and metro silver. Paired with a jean skirt, what a perfect combo.
I would make mine in suede and rogue and wear it with jeans or with a nice blouse and dress pants for work.
Atomic Green as the body and then Metro Silver. paired with knee lenght dark jean skirt cute ankle boots and a white dress shirt underneath .. and a wet felted hat to match
I’d choose Club Gray with a splash of Aquarius – I’d wear it with skinny jeans and my new boots!
I would use cha cha red and techno silver to wear with jeans!
Suede with aquarius. And then I’d make one in reverse for my baby son and we’d wear ‘em together with jeans and maybe a long sleeve t-shirt (onesie for him).
Love the idea of pink and club grey. I would knit ths for one of my skinny friends! Love!!
My choice would be gray tones — the darkest for the body and the lightest gray for the patterned portion. (I agree … the colors are quite delicious and making a choice was difficult!)
I would love it in chocolate & lime green!
Wow, look at those colors! I don’t know why, but club gray and lounge purple look nice together.
Thank you for the opportunity!
I think the Lounge Purple with Aquarius. I’d likely wear it to work, or make it for a skinny friend.
Oooh, this yarn looks just delicious. Smoke and Lounge Purple, I think.
I would knit the tunic with Smoke as the main colour and Atomic Green for the contrast colour then pair it with wide legged jeans and a white half-sleeve tee.
I would pick Aquarius with Metro Silver for the accent. It’s a beautiful shirt – I’d wear it to work with my pencil skirt and brown boots.
colour combo: rogue (primary colour) with tonic orange
how to wear: with a simple pair of jeggings and flat boots with long sleeve shirt to match the tonic orange OR with the perfect pencil skirt with some sort of 3/4 frilly sleeve under the tunic.
Lounge purple for the body and atomic green for the pattern. Why yes, I do like bright colours! I’d probably stick with jeans or grey/black pants. (Thanks for making this pattern in plus sizes!)
Smoke with a little posh pink for me
I love this pattern and I like club gray and cha cha red together
gorgeous vest! Maybe chocolate and pink?
