This will be the place to look for news and the word about all the things happening at Blue Sky Alpacas. I will be your guide.
Here’s me: I’m the daughter of a great crafter. My mom and I did all sorts of crafts together including a summer spent “antiquing” woodwork and a crazy project that involved painting clear nail polish on rolled triangles of magazine paper to make beads. My mom also taught me to sew and knit, but the knitting didn’t really take at the time. I went to art school, I started a career. It wasn’t until my own daughter was taught to knit in first grade, and wanted to knit at home, that I began knitting for real. Now I have the great luck to be the Design Coordinator for Blue Sky Alpacas.

Introducing Techno!

Aprés Vest, shown in Fame #1970

Graphic Pullover, shown in Rogue #1973 and Tonic Orange #1979
But enough of me — WE have big news! Introducing our latest yarn: Techno. A modern take on 1970’s neon and natural. The line includes seven groovy pop colors, perfectly balanced with six granola lover neutrals. Modern technology makes Techno a feather weight genius. Baby alpaca is blown into a mesh tube of silk, there is literally no splitting, for really fast knitting. You just won’t believe it.
For our Techno launch, we have a great giveaway planned for ten (10!) lucky winners. Enter in the drawing by commenting on this post for your chance to win our Techno Hat pattern, and yarn (your choice of color). Good luck!
Keep on knitting,
Merri
